Gift Shop

The gift shops at the University of Chicago Medicine offer a wide variety of snacks, flowers, balloons, stuffed animals, personal care items and more. You can choose to shop in person or make a secure purchase online or over the telephone.

Delivery to Patient Rooms

Free delivery to patient rooms is available for purchases of more than $5, including deliveries to Comer Children's Hospital. Orders placed by noon often are delivered to patients the same day.

You must provide the patient’s information, including first and last name and room number, before an order can be placed.

Please note that patients who have medical conditions that increase their risk of infection may not receive live flowers or plants. Neither can patients who are staying in our intensive care units, oncology units or transplant units.

You can purchase a wide range of gifts for patients staying at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial, including balloons, candy, cards, flowers, jewelry, stuffed animals and more. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Notice: Mitchell and Ingalls gift shops temporarily closed for renovations

Hospital gift shops at Mitchell Hospital and Ingalls Memorial Hospital will close Wednesday, January 15, 2025 and are tentatively scheduled to reopen in early spring.

New vending machines near the stores will offer sundries and commonly purchased items during the closure. Patients and families can also visit hospitalgiftshop.com to get same-day and next-day deliveries.

In Hyde Park, Amazon lockers near Comer Children’s Hospital are available for deliveries, and the University of Chicago Campus Bookstore (970 E. 58th St.) is roughly two blocks away.
