A. Musa Zamah, MD, PhD, is a board-certified specialist in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). Dr. Zamah has expertise in helping women with a wide range of infertility and fertility preservation issues and offers his patients a comprehensive suite of treatment options, including intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF), egg freezing and preimplantation genetic testing of embryos (PGT).

Dr. Zamah is interested in patients with challenging fertility cases, such as patients with poor egg quality, poor embryo quality or recurrent implantation failure. In conjunction with UChicago Medicine reproductive urologist, he provides fertility treatments for women affected by male-factor related infertility. Dr. Zamah also provides complete care for other reproductive endocrinology conditions, like recurrent pregnancy loss, polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis and primary ovarian insufficiency as they relate to fertility.

In addition to his commitment to his clinical practice, Dr. Zamah is an active researcher, interested in understanding the molecular determinants of oocyte quality and oocyte maturation, as well as studying granulosa cell function. Dr. Zamah’s work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and MetabolismFertility and SterilityReproduction and more.

Dr. Zamah also takes pride in his ability to motivate and mentor medical students and residents. By teaching clinical sessions on REI and supervising residents/medical students during patient sessions and surgeries, he is providing them with skills and experiences that can benefit them throughout their career.
