Our laboratory offers comprehensive coagulation testing including routine and specialized coagulation testing. Our experts actively develop and publish protocols for coagulation testing.

We offer extensive testing for von Willebrand disease, platelet function disorders, hemophilia, thrombophilia, and therapeutic drug monitoring.  We offer drug monitoring for anti-platelet agents, heparinoids, warfarin (including the chromogenic X), direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC), and direct thrombin inhibitors (DTI).

UCM Coagulation laboratory is the only Chicagoland hospital lab offering in-house ADAMTS13 testing for thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP).

We are developing new platelet function assays which can comprehensively diagnose platelet function disorders with a reduced blood volume.
