Ingalls development foundation to launch community grant program
The Ingalls Development Foundation is officially kicking off its 2018 Community Grant Program at an inaugural meeting Wednesday, Nov. 1, at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial in Harvey.
The foundation has earmarked $100,000 in grant funding to invest directly in programs that help increase access to care in communities surrounding the hospital and invites community non-profits to submit applications for programs that advance Ingalls’ mission to improve the health of the communities it serves.
“This exciting opportunity for community non-profits to apply directly to the Ingalls Development Foundation for impact grant funding is another example of how the recently completed merger between the University of Chicago Medicine and Ingalls directly benefits our community,” explains Paul Donohue CFRE, vice president of the foundation. “Not only will our patients benefit through increased clinical services and quality of care inside our Ingalls facilities, but the community will also benefit through an investment in philanthropy.”
The Nov. 1 kick-off will introduce the program and answer questions. Materials describing the grant program, including instructions for submitting letters of interest electronically, will be available. In addition, foundation representatives and members of the Impact Grant Committee will be present to answer questions.
“We’re excited to invite you to this important community impact event that promises to enhance the partnership between our community hospital and the people we serve,” he added.
The meeting will be held in the hospital’s East Meeting Room A. Reservations are required. To attend, email your reservation to communitygrants@Ingalls.org or call 708-915-6118.
