Hiba Haider MD, FACNS, FAES, is a board-certified neurologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of epilepsy in adult patients. Dr. Haider’s clinical practice focuses on helping her patient control their seizures while maintaining a high quality of life.
Dr. Haider is committed to using implementation science and quality improvement, (the practice of bringing evidence-based practice and research into everyday care), in seizure emergencies. Her work organizing, standardizing and implementing institutional seizure management protocols has been instrumental in improving care and has been recognized nationally. She is also interested in the use of neuroimaging as a biomarker of outcome in acute brain injury and Status Epilepticus.
Along with her clinical expertise, Dr. Haider has contributed many original research articles to respected, peer-reviewed journals, including Neurology, JAMA Neurology, Annals of Neurology, Archives of Neurology, Epilepsia, Journal of Clinical Neurophysiology, Clinical Neurophysiology and Neurocritical Care. She has written numerous book chapters and reviews, and is also the co-editor of the Handbook of ICU EEG.
