The Office of Managed Care (OMC) is organized under four pillars:
University of Chicago Medical Center
- 811-bed academic medical center; including Comer Children’s Hospital
- New Cancer Center Pavilion (Opening Spring 2027)
- Level 1 pediatric and adult trauma centers
UCM Community Health & Hospital Division
- Regional network of outpatient facilities and hospitals
- Includes Ingalls Memorial in Harvey and Care Network sites
UChicago Medicine Physicians
- A clinically integrated network (Care Network) with approximately:
- 845 faculty physicians
- 89 employed community-based doctors
- 229 community-based physicians
UChicago Medicine | AdventHealth
- 4 community hospitals located in Western Suburbs
- Advent Medical Group and Clinics
- Advent Cancer Institute - Hinsdale
Biological Sciences Division
- 10 basic science and 14 clinical departments
- 4 research facilities (Knapp, Gordon, Cummings, Donnelley)
- Affiliated with 12 Nobel Prize winners in physiology or medicine
- NIH awards totaling $276 million
- PhD programs ranked by U.S. News & World Report:
- No. 11 in biological sciences graduate programs
- No. 1 in paleontology
- No. 10 in ecology/evolutionary biology
- No. 18 in cell biology
Pritzker School of Medicine
- Ranked 18th among top medical schools and 11th most diverse schools by U.S. News & World Report
- 40% of students come from underrepresented minority groups
- School hosts five student-run free clinics in community
