Madan Kumar, DO, specializes in pediatric infectious deseases. Dr. Kumar is part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary service targets improving drug selection, slowing the emergence of antimicrobial resistance, reducing antibiotic expenditures, and improving patient outcomes at UChicago Medicine’s Comer Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Kumar’s primary clinical and academic interests focus on acute and chronic infections in immunocompromised hosts including opportunistic fungal infections. Additionally, he is dedicated to medical education and serves as the Associate Fellowship Director for the Pediatric Infectious Diseases training program.
